Is the entertainment system worth anything?,

According to the Senior Cabin Crew member on a recent flight trans Atlantic flight it’s worth nothing – at least that’s what he told my family when one of the systems did not work. His helpful comment was that the system is a “nice to have – you only pay for your seats”.
I am pleased to confirm that in the lead up to this the crew call buttons were functioning normally – but as the crew were ignoring them one wonders why Swiss bother to have them at all.
Subsequent approaches to Swiss have failed to prompt a response.
I have a piece of advice for anyone considering Swiss among their airline choices. Find an airline that understands customer service and tries to make the flight an enjoyable experience. As a fall back you could fly Swiss – but make sure you only pay for the seat and they don’t charge you any extra for the in-flight entertainment service!

I recently flew on a A340 from Zurich to LAX and back in Swiss's Business Class. The flat beds are very comfortable and the cabin crew was nice and friendly. Nice entertainment system too.
But be please avoid flying on a Swiss A330. Bad Business Class seats and the money is definitively not worth it. I heared they leased the planes from Lufthansa. But service is really okay. |
