Consistently good, Feb 01, 2008
reviewer: Charles from UK
I travel to and from Japan (LHR ~ KIX) about 6 times per year, usually in business class, but sometimes in economy. I have never had a bad experience, although there is a very big difference between food in business class which is excellent, and food in economy which is a little poor.Would always fly to Japan with JAL if i had a choice.

Wonderful JAL, Oct 02, 2006
reviewer: Robert Walls from UK
I am a regular visitor to Japan and like to begin my experience of Japanese standards of service by flying with JAL if I can afford it. JAL flight attendants are very highly paid and they achieve similar standards of service to those you would expect in a top Japanese hotel, the best in the world.

My only criticism lies in another aspect of Japanese culture. Young people and particularly young females find it almost impossible to tell older people what to do and absolutely impossible to deal with badly behaved foreigners. This does not matter within Japan where bad behaviour is more or less unknown but can be important on an international flight. I had the misfortune to return from Japan on a JAL flight sitting near a dozen or so British motor racing fans after the grand prix, foul mouthed, drunken yobs to a man and the flight crew had no idea how to deal with them.

Timid cabin crew, Jan 26, 2006
reviewer: Rod from Australia
Travelled from Mexico City to Tokyo via Vancouver. Ok until Vancouver when a travelling extended family of about 50 Indian Sihks boarded with a collection of the most spoilt bratty childen imagianable ( I was travelling with my own so I feel I can pass comment). They caused HAVOC across the pacific fueled by the free Coke and snacks they demolished from the complimentary server. It was an absolute nightmare as the parents of these deliquents refused to raise a settling word. So too were the cabin staff (polite young Japanese women) who did absolutely nothing to calm things down. It took an assertive Australian woman to take matters into hand ( I also confess in my slumber to sticking a leg into the aisle to trip up a brat trating the passage way as a running track>)
