poor service, Mar 16, 2010
reviewer: H.R from Uk/Sin
My friend had bought a ticket of Singapore-Bangkok-London-Bangkok-Singapore in Singapore. Because of certain reason, he only used Bangkok-London ticket. He sent the un-utilised tickets back for refund. Well, they took 6 months to process. Ok, that's fine. But a few weeks later, he was told that TG had over-refunded him of S$863. So he'd no choice and had to refund the money back to that agent. But after returning the money, he was assured that case's closed and TG wasn't going to charge him for that. He would receive the money back. BUT after 3 months later (10 months since he had submitted the refund), agent told him again that TG would definitely debit him this time because they realised that he hadn't used his tickets in sequence. If so, why did the check-in staff allow him to check-in in the first place yes? Why did the refund take more than 10 months to process? What's more, how many times have they made mistake? Have emailed to TG customer service manager but have been ignored so far. It's really disappointing!!!

reviewer: P hartley from UK
LHR-BKK thai air has grown over the last 4 years tremendously and its new airport helps alot, the service on the plane for me was great but all of there planes are just so tatty and old, plus for buiness class LHR to BKK they charge over 3000 pounds!!! i think they need to rethink there prices.

Most horrible flight experience EVER, Jan 02, 2008
reviewer: Tony from Indonesia
Thai is the most horrible airline I have ever encountered. A couple a months ago I was flying with my wife and 1 year old son from Copenhagen to Bangkok. From the beginning till end the service was terrible. I had to ask 4 different people for a glass of water. My son was not offered anything to eat during the entire flight. The staff consistently approached my wife in thai language(she's Indonesian). To top it all off, my wife was accused of stealing a purse belonging to one of the crew members which resulted in him searching through all of our bags in front of all the passengers. After this he didn't even have the decency to apologize to my wife. When I complained about the incident, the airline just e-mailed an insincere apology. Any other descent airline would have given some sort of compensation for the harassment and embarrassment we suffered. So unless you enjoy bad service and public humiliation, I would suggest looking for another airline.

best airline, recommend strongly, May 30, 2007

I fly more or less regularly from Europe to Bangkok and have tried several airlines (Lufthansa, Malaysia: Good; Air France: horrible), but Thai is definitely the best. Also very friendly and efficient service at (and between) the new and old airports in Bangkok, and also at other destinations in Thailand.

let down, Oct 05, 2006

B/C Brisbane - Bangkok, F/C Bangkok to London and vice versa.
Outwood trip to Bangkok ok, plane old 777-300, seats not very comfortable, service excellent, food and wine good. First to London excellent, could not fault anything, same for return to Bangkok.Bangkok to Brisbane a real let down, older 777-300 and showing it's age.Seats terrible, almost impossible to get comfortable, food was flavourless, service not up to Thai standards, they couldn't wait to get the meals over, even resorting to removing my plate whilst I was still eating.Attendants seemed uninterested and just wanted to get the lights out.
Why they use these out of date aircraft on BNE-BNK when it's a 9hr journey is beyond me.Won't fly that leg again with Thai until they change aircraft and attitude.
Shame as Thai are normally so good.

Excellent Allrouder, May 07, 2006
reviewer: Mr B from UK-England
Having travelled economy long haul to various destinations and been left with a feeling of being in a veal crate with many carriers, Thai Airlines came as somewhat of a relief when travelling to Bangkok.

Excellent legroom. As a vegeterian, the meals weren't half bad, and at least some thought had gone into them.

Constant supply of drinks, which unlike some robbing airlines, you didn't have to pay for.

Also the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough. They even remained polite to the group of annoying tattooed middle-aged Brits who thought they had the right to drink the plane clean dry on the way home!! Hence the reason I avoid Bits abroad!!

The only negative thing was the pretty duff selection of films for a 12 hour flight. Apart from that, pretty good all round.

Heathrow to Bangkok - Economy, September 2003, Aug 04, 2004
reviewer: Heather A from UK
Having flown to Bangkok with BA, Qantas and Emirates, this is our overall favourite on this route. Emirates is much plusher and with first rate entertainment, but Thai takes the prize for making you feel as if you're on holiday when you first step on the plane. The service is brilliant - on our overnight flights, the cabin crew circulate frequently with trays of water and fruit juice for those still awake. The food is above average for airline fare. The interiors look a little tired but the seats are comfortable and the 34" leg room in economy is great. Those who like seatback entertainment will be disappointed as there are only drop-down screens in the aisles, but this isn't a problem to us as we prefer to read. Check-in at both ends is speedy and flexible with multiple counters - you can get rid of your bags whenever you arrive, in contrast to BA and Qantas where you have to wait for the specific check-in desk to open.
