Completely awful airline. Was delayed 20 hours outbound and 4 hours on the way home. No apology was offered. No flow of information regarding the delay. I was told I could "possibly" claim a refund if I was to contact their customer relations. COMPLETE LIES! If you ask them for a refund or compensation, you'll be told that your terms and conditions state "Zoom Airlines does not offer compensation for inconvenience or loss of personal/business time caused by schedule changes or flight delays." AVOID if possible!

I have fairly realistic expectations of budget airlines but recent flight from London to JFK was beyond a joke. We were delayed by two hours on way out which we took with good grace but on way back we arrived at JFK airport at 3pm for 5.30pm flight to be told it wouldn't be leaving til 8.30pm. We then received no further information or hint of apology from the extremely rude check-in staff but departure screens kept showing later and later departure time. By 10pm everyone was starting to wonder if we'd ever get home. We finally took off at midnight. We finally got apology from the captain but were still charged £3 for a blanket and earphones! Friendly cabin crew but lousy airline. I'd pay the extra to fly with someone else. You couldn't pay me to fly with them again.

Flew from Belfast - Toronto B767-300 on my first long haul flight. Left on time, comfortable seating, great food, On board entertainment sound quality wasnt great but the movies were up to date and really passed the time! All was well on the return flight except passenger in front fully reclined seat for the whole journey, she refused to raise her seat.
Overall a very nice airline :D

Having experienced many airlines and delays I can report that Zoom are the worst I have ever experienced. Our Zoom flight was delayed by 3 days which was bad enough in itself but worse still was the treatment we then received from the airline. We we were not offered any airport hotel accommodation, disabled facilities or assistance of any form whatsoever, alternative tickets or flights or compensation for the bills we had to pay out for hotels, car hire etc at our destination which we could not use due to the delays. We were not even offered reimbursement for phone bills to Canada to customer service, who are dreadfull by the way. Zoom representatives were rude and even transparently lied to us repeatedly. It was impossible to get a straight answer from this airline let alone information about the delays or any satisfactory response or gesture of goodwill. We did not even make it to Canada with this airline. This short break proved to be the most expensive trip we have ever paid for without leaving home! This airline is sure to go out of business before long. Fly with anybody other than Zoom. They cannot be any worse!

Worst Airline ever. Not only is it not that crazy cheap (800 Canadian $ Round trip montreal - france), but they have the worst custumer relashonship ever. Or, actually they dont have any at all. My departure flight from montreal had an "technical" delay for 13 hours. No explanation, and still no answear (this happened in may 2005). My return back to montreal had also an delay of 2 hours, that was announced at the expected departure time.

I have sent them a few emails (because they dont handle custumer relations over phone) and never got an email back. Worst Airline i have traveled with.

DON'T RECOMMEND, WOULD NEVER TRAVEL WITH THEM.

We've just travelled with these guys return to Canada from Gatwick. Travelled both ways in premium economy as the upgrade fare was only £49.00 pp each way. As Zoom are quite a low cost airline we didn't really expect much, but were very plesantly surprised. The seats were quite wide with a 35" seat pitch in premium and 31" seat pitch in Economy. The staff were really great and couldn't do enough for us, the aircraft was an old 767 with 2-3-2 seating, but spotless. The trip home had a much newer but just as spotless aircraft. The main complaint we had was a 1 & 1/4 hour delay on the way out... On time on the way home. Would we travel with them again? Yes.
