Customer Service Doesn't exist,

Last August I was stranded at Heathrow with my wife for two days over the terrorist threat. I had to pay for my room, second night, and my suitcase was lost at the airport. It arrive a week later soaking wet and several articles were ruined. I asked for reimbursement of two new items I bought from my trip and the second night fee, about $900 dollars. We actually made two requests, one throught the travel agency and one directly when no response was received from BA customer service.My second attempt was met with a request that I submitt the receipts Which I did except for two that were ruined by the water. Again no response from Customer Service.
This note is pointless also but I hope someone will read it and take precautions or another Airline. |

On Thursday 11 August I booked flights from the Isle of Man to Luton to connect with easyjet flights to Berlin for our Christmas holidays This is the only route possible to avoid having to change airports in London, as BA doesn't provide return connections via Manchester. On Monday 15 August I received an e-mail telling me that that the return flight on New Year's day had been cancelled and that we had been booked on the following day's flight! and that BA 'trusted this didn't cause any inconvenience'! This was totally unsatisfactory as it would involve the cost of hotel accommodation for four and when I rang customer service they said that the only alternative on the same day was to return from Gatwick. I was then told that BA is not willing to pay our additional transport costs which are in the region of £60.How could they refuse? I am sure that BA knew when I booked this flight that it would be cancelled - it's too much of a coincidence. I deliberately booked these flights so as not to have to change airports and I now find that I have to do this and pay for the privilege.To make matters worse they then rang back and asked me to post the ticket for changes at my expense! I complained to their complaints address in Suffolk but just received a curt reply telling me that's all they would do. For the sake of good public relations with the Isle of Man I hope that they should consider financial help for what is not a problem of our making, but there again they have a near monopoly on our London routes so can do what they like.

| I have to say that BA and their affiliates are by far the best at what they do! I have flown this route on more than one occassion for work and found the crew excellent! I also have to say that the service from the BA ground crew at both GLA and MAN were fantastic. BA - The World's favourite airline? I don't know about that but they are definately in my top 2! |

| Booked this as a late booking on the internet and used the online booking service - very easy to use this reduced check in time. Found the whole check in process very smooth, collected boarding card and checked cases in then went to wait to board. The plane had 2 rows of 3 seats we were in row 3 and had 3 seats to ourselves, the seats were atcually extra legroom size, navy leather seats and very comfy. We left on time and had a good flight, a choice of cheese or beef sandwich and a slice of cake was followed by a choice of drinks from the bar. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were sat behind business class - the seats seemed the same pitch and a cooked meal was served which looked nice. Once in Paris the bags were delivered quickly.
On the return journey we could only book one person in using the machines a very polite member of staff helped us to use the machine taking us to a check in desk when we could still only get one ticket, the flight was full so sat in row 17, found this a bit of a squeeze - fine for legroom but no elbow space. Same food and drink on way back and again on time.
Would use this service again and found the internet price very good (£79 return) |
